Two Great Upcoming Speakers

The end of the Rotary Year is fast approaching, but we still have two exciting events before the end of June.

On Monday June 15 we're privileged to be hosting a talk by Gemma Sisia. Gemma founded The School of St Jude in northern Tanzania (www.schoolofstjude.co.tz) with the help of family, friends and a Rotary club. Gemma is only in Perth for a week and this is her last talk before returning to Tanzania.

Gemma was a keynote speaker at the 9450 District Conference in 2006. She's a really good speaker and a great ambassador for Rotary. Actually, I'm not sure how we got her... we're very lucky!

We've invited the Rotary Club of Cambridge to join us and moved our meeting to FAB Burgers in Subiaco Mews to cater for the increased number of attendees. Cost is $30pp.

And the following Monday, on the 22nd June, we'll be at the Subiaco Football Club, Medibank Stadium (which I still call Leederville Oval) to listen to David Wirrpanda. David's a really nice guy and the David Wirrpanda Foundation is doing great work to improve the life outcomes of Indigenous children by promoting strong role models and healthy life choices.

Wow, two great speakers just days apart! Rotarians from all clubs, their partners and guests are always welcome to attend our meetings. And, if you've had no association with Rotary and have been looking for an excuse to find out about us, here it is!
